Variety Positioning

• Oil from High Erucic Acid Rapeseed (HEAR) has a variety of industrial applications.

• Rocca is Agrii’s leading HEAR variety, which has proven attractive, especially in the North, for its vigorous growth habit, improved light leaf spot resistance (7) and early maturity.

• Suitable for all soil types and best drilled in the main drilling window.

• Medium height but it requires a robust PGR programme as it has only moderate stem stiffness.

• Average phoma/stem canker resistance, so monitor for this disease and spray as appropriate.

• If growers want to move back into ‘00’ or HOLL contracts in the future then ensure an appropriate gap between oilseed rape crops and consider using Clearfield oilseed rape.
