✚ A non-RL hard feed wheat variety with high yields

Variety Positioning

• A non-Recommended List variety but with plenty to offer. This hard feed variety has performed very well in Agrii trials over the past three years with consistently high yields (102% treated, 95% untreated).

• Grain quality is average with specific weight 76.0 kg/hl.

• Suitable across the UK excluding areas of high sterility risk and attracting particular interest in the West due to its excellent Septoria resistance and better specific weight than Theodore which is now outclassed.

• Unsuitable for early drilling and it should be drilled in the main drilling window up until the end of October.

• Suitable for all soil types including light land and performs well as a second wheat. Relatively tall (93 cm) with average stem stiffness (6 treated, 5 untreated), so it requires a robust pgr programme.

• Average competitiveness against grass weeds and late maturity (+5). 

• An excellent set of disease scores with mildew (6.4) yellow rust (8.1), brown rust (6.1) and Septoria tritici (7.6). It appears to be susceptible to fusarium ear blight and it is not resistant to orange wheat blossom midge.
