Variety Positioning

• Bolivia sits on the UK Recommended List with KWS Tardis-level yields, yet it has captured strong interest as a likely successor alongside LG Caravelle.

• Consistent high yields (101% treated, 88% untreated), good specific weight (69.9 kg/hl) and low screening losses come together with an excellent agronomic package. 

• Consistent performance across regions and all soil types, it is moderately tall (93 cm untreated, 90 cm treated), with excellent stiff straw (8 treated, 8 untreated) that is better than that of
  LG Caravelle. 

• Average brackling resistance and mid-late maturity (0).

• Disease resistance is good with mildew (8) (7), brown rust (8) (8), Rhynchosporium (6) (4) and net blotch (6) (6).

• Good disease resistance is reflected in a high untreated yield and outstanding mildew and brown rust ratings make it of interest in the North and South alike.

• Resistant to barley yellow mosaic virus.
