Agrii specialists in conversation on farm

Our expertise is deep and varied because we built Agrii by combining specialised companies over the last 30 years

Let's find out more about how Agrii helps with more about sustainable farming and the production of safe, affordable and healthy food

Wildflowers

We have carefully formulated our wildflower mixtures to meet a number of different habitats and soil types.

This can range from a sandy soil to a hedgerow habitat.

Low maintenance grass species (see panel below) are included in the mixtures to act as a nurse crop in the early years of establishment and growth. The grasses help suppress weed invasion, whilst allowing the wildflowers to flourish

All our Wildflower mixtures contain 80% grasses and 20% native British produced wildflowers

  • Browntop bent (Agrostis capillaris)
  • Chewings fescue (Festuca rubra commutata)
  • Crested dogstail (Cynosurus cristatus)
  • Sheep’s fescue (Festuca ovina)
  • Slender creeping red fescue (Festuca rubra litoralis)
  • Smooth stalked meadow grass (Poa pratensis)
  • Strong creeping red fescue (Festuca rubra rubra)
