When it comes to the environment, we want to do better and we want to make change happen in agriculture.
We are a vital link in the chain, providing practical research, development and advice to farmers, many of whom are asking us for advice on how to regenerate soils, improve ecosystems and create a more balanced and sustainable farmed environment.
However, many stakeholders often see us part of the problem, rather than the solution, so we know we have work to do, because to make change happen we will need to pull together to find solutions.
That’s why, under Green Horizons, we are actively looking to consult and collaborate with a broader representation of stakeholders across agriculture, horticulture, amenity, forestry and ornamentals, and with those who want to connect with the farming community.
Making change happen together
As a national company working across the crop and livestock sectors, we are uniquely positioned to do this, to tap into the voice of the farmer, test solutions, and provide feedback.
Five Point Plan: Stakeholder Engagement
How we plan to create change
To connect with you, our farming customers better, and more widely within and outside the industry, we commit to;
- Have more communication and engagement with Government, NGOs, food packers, processors, retailers and scientific institutions
- Digitally connect you, our growers, to RHIZA services with location/farm specific technological information, to enable you to target areas for improvement
- Create a crowd sourcing programme so you can provide customer feedback and influence how we innovate, so that we always provide the services you need and want
- Expand our virtual iFarm events and trial tours to improve your access to knowledge exchange and the latest advice. We also hope the iFarm will be a chance to expand discussions with you and other stakeholders.
