Environmental Monitoring and Decision Support Services
Our Environmental Monitoring and Decision Support Services are delivered via RHIZA Connect.
Through RHIZA Connect we can support you with:
- A core network of 230+ weather stations for farmers, growers and land users across the UK.
- Integral to this network is a similar number of soil moisture stations. Many of these are installed on a seasonal basis to support crop specific decisions on irrigation scheduling and to improve water use efficiency.
- Monitoring data is used to inform decision making on crop protection choices through a diverse range of plant pest & disease models but also in other areas such as crop nutrition.
- All sensor data and decision support tools are available through the RHIZA Connect app.
RHIZA Connect
The RHIZA Connect app is a joint initiative between Agrii, RMA and Anglian Water and provides highly localised weather information from fields, orchards and vineyards across the UK.
Information at your fingertips:
- Weather forecasting (available up to 2 and 8 days ahead)
- Weather history from 8 days and 12 months of historical data
- Two tier spraying conditions forecast with 5-day outlook
- Wide and developing range of pest & disease forecasts
- Multi-depth soil moisture and ETo data
Localised weather information is available at any time in the RHIZA Connect app
Soil Moisture Monitoring
RHIZA soil moisture sensors:
- Get multi-depth soil moisture information, which can be linked to Soil Management Zones
- Enable more efficient use of water and help optimise the yield and quality of your crops
- Link to a local Agrii weather station or feature additional in-crop sensors for improved decision support e.g. pest & disease forecasts and nutrient management

Our P&D models can be used to better plan applications. They are weather driven, providing granularity and forecast at your individual farm level.

- Probes are installed to establish soil moisture readings.
- Probes and rain gauges are then fitted with a telemetry unit - these can be equipped with a SIM card, LoRa or SigFox to deliver data into the cloud.
- Various types of soil scans are carried out to determine where the probes should be positioned.
Smart Dashboard
Our dashboard is a localised soil management tool allowing you and your agronomists to accurately monitor soil moisture status, helping to support decision making on farm.
The platform highlights the soil water state in mm of Soil Moisture Deficit within the soil profile. It allows for quick viewing of multiple probes and installations all in one place and can be accessed via computer, tablet or smartphone.
