Securing the best price for your grain in a fast-moving and volatile global market can be very stressful. A season’s worth of work and investment hinges on it.
We take the stress out of volatility
We can help alleviate this stress by doing the marketing for you, ensuring that decisions are made at the right time to maximise your margins. This is particularly important for novel or added-value crops.
We do this through our own grain marketing division, GB Seeds, and a well established partnership with grain marketing specialist, Viterra UK, a worldwide trader and consumer of cereals, pulses and oilseeds.
Profitable end markets
We are committed to providing our customers a complete service, from advice to inputs and grain marketing. The marketing of grain is an integral part of any farm business and the impact of recent global events has highlighted the importance of excellent supply chain relationships.
Draw on specialist market intelligence
By working with us, you’ll be drawing on our specialist market intelligence and strategic trading links.
Viterra UK has port and storage facilities throughout the UK and strategic links with most feed and milling consumers in all regions.
GB Seeds has specialised in added value crops and grains for over 20 years, working in different market spaces and with multiple end-users. This enables farmers and growers to diversify their cropping options and maximise opportunities in the value chain.
Crops include naked oats, maple peas, yellow peas, blue peas, specialist cereals and legumes, linseed, and food barley – but we’re continually investigating innovative new crops.
Marketing options
We offer a range of marketing options to suit your farming business:
- Pools or funds, target pricing, bespoke marketing contracts to hedge and protect exposure to volatility
- Futures based, fixed price, minimum and minimum/ maximum contracts for premiums where applicable
- Commodity, exclusivity, and variety/ quality specific buy-back contracts
- Storage and movement contracts
