Transport Route Planner (Nightshift)

Agrii is a leading provider of agronomy services, technology and strategic advice.

The Logistics and Supply Chain team includes over 200 employees working across 35 depots covering the whole of the UK delivering Agchem, Seed and Fertiliser. We are now looking to recruit a transport route planner (nightshift) to work from our Alconbury site, on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

·Planning 40 + vehicles each day using routing software.

·Producing associated delivery documentation.

·Successfully plan the vehicles in such a way to minimise running costs, and maximise vehicle revenue.

·Work proactively with the logistics department, to avoid any delays on deliveries.

·Offer additional administration to the warehouse operation.

·Liaise with Site Managers and colleagues to obtain and provide key information.

Key Experience Required:

·Experience of route planning various vehicles for multi drop deliveries.

·Experience working with Vehicle Routing software.

·The ability to adapt quickly to new and changing scenarios.

·A good understanding of the legal requirements regarding Driving Hours and Working Times.

The Ideal candidate will:

·Have strong geographical knowledge of English postcodes.

·Have a strong, confident telephone manner.

·Be an excellent communicator via all form of media.

·Demonstrate flexible working hours to satisfy seasonal demands.
