Trainee / Development Agronomist

We are looking to employ a Trainee / Development Agronomist, for the Lothian & Borders area.

 

Since forming in 2012, we have worked through the process of integrating three companies and building the foundations for a 21st century agronomy business that offers future Agronomists a sustainable and rewarding opportunity to forge a successful career.

We are looking for an aspiring individual who has a keen interest in Agriculture, specifically in providing Agronomy services, advice and support.

We will provide you with the opportunity to undertake our industry leading iq training required to become a successful Agronomist of the future. 

You will work alongside many of our established Agronomists who will provide in field experience and support, see below what we offer:

What we look for in applicants:

  • Drive and commitment – a ‘can-do’ attitude, willing to go the extra mile for our customers
  • Someone that has an awareness of the need to develop their own agronomy portfolio, based on building relationships with growers
  • An excellent communicator and team player – but capable of maintaining a high level of motivation when working alone
  • Someone who recognises modern agronomy entails far more than the use of pesticides
  • BASIS and FACTS is advantageous and required if you are joining as a Development Agronomist
  • BASIS and FACTS training is provided if you are joining as a Trainee Agronomist
  • Previous practical experience working on a farm.
